Lynette Marnitz, customer liaison at Garden City Commercials
Pietermaritzburg, said the expo aimed to thank their customers for their valued
support during a challenging economic time.
“The emphasis was on relationship building, spending time to
entertain our customers and suppliers in a fun-filled and informative
environment.
“At the expo we showcased the brands, products and services that we
offer.
“These are major components which are remanufactured with genuine
Mercedes-Benz parts, encouraging an enviro-friendly and economical way of
maintaining vehicles,” said Marnitz.
One of the new services being introducing is the Reman
products.
Reman stands for remanufactured, and not reconditioned.
Remanufacturing starts with dissasembling an inoperative or
worn-out part.
The components are then brought back to production specification,
reassembled and tested.
Marnitz said apart from the various models of Mercedes-Benz
commercial vehicles, Freightliner and FUSO will be on display. The expo will
also show value chain products such as CharterWay, Fleetboard and Mercedes-Benz
Financial Services.
These services are the invisible nuts and bolts that help to make a
transport venture successful, and covers financing, driver management,
maintenance contracts, tracking, truck mobility and cost of ownership
management.
“We have been recognised by Mercedes-Benz South Africa with
prestigious awards.
“Our successes are not possible without the support of our
customers and other business partners,” Marnitz said.
Among the dozen awards the dealership has been honoured with are
Mercedes Benz South Africa: Salesman Of The Year (Overall/National), for 2011 to
Dave Walker, Mercedes Benz Commercial Vehicles and several highest Customer
Satisfaction Index scores across all brands in the dealer network.
