De Wits stays pumped all the way

THE first leg of the KZN Regional rally championships in February saw the Toyota Conquest of Chris and Frans de Wit (shown) lose out on a podium place thanks to two flat tyres in the first stage, but for the second leg — held again in Dalton last weekend — Pietermaritzburg’s veteran racer stayed pumped in all senses of the word.
He took first place, followed home by Brian and Ashley Scott in second place, with Kenneth Brown and Jarryd Fouche third.
