Park assist as it should be, circa 1951

The 1951 Cadillac could slew-
park using its spare wheel.
Thanks to uncle James Swart who sent me this from yesteryear - 1951, to be precise. Its shows park assist as it should be.
Basically, if the 1951 Cadillac got boxed in by inconsiderate parkers, all the Caddy owner had to do was to pull the knob that cranked down the spare tyre in the boot on its axle, which then turned this behemoth of chromed curves and those tart lil' fins into a nimble three-wheeler that could pirouette about inside its (her?) own turning circle.
Lets see, 2011 - 1951 = 60 years... that's SIX DECADES during which the motoring industry has simply forgotten about this fantastic park assist system.

Personally, I suspect a profitable plot by the panelbeateratti (that secret sect that broke away from the Masons to join the Illuminati in getting the world addicated to crude... but I digress.)
Don't believe me?
They sure do exist... who do you think trains the Mafia in over-quoting on municipal tenders?
Oh, on the Caddy slew-parking like a trike on three wheels?
Just watch...
