Keeping an eye on drivers all the time
DRIVE Report has launched DriveCam, a United States-based system that couples smart in-vehicle video technology with comprehensive driver-behaviour analysis and Internet-based driver profiling and fleet-reporting software.
Louis Swart, managing director of Drive Report, explained that the
system provides daily video evidence of all untoward vehicle movements,
pinpointing exactly where drivers are failing to comply with required standards,
be they legislative or company specific.
This audio-visual evidence enables fleet owners to mitigate their
risk through driver coaching and swift resolution of third-party accident
claims. His driver-behaviour management company recently installed the 13 000th
DriveCam unit in a leading truck fleet. “Our order book has never looked better,
despite the somewhat constricted financial climate. Due to the ongoing demand,
Drive Report has employed new personnel to service and support our DriveCam
customers, effectively doubling our staff compliment over the last 12 months
