U.S. electric delivery vehicle company
Cenntro Motors states on its website it aims ‘to become an industry leader in production of highly efficient electric
vehicles’.
This aim will be boosted by the retro-styled Cenntro Kombi EV,
launched last week in Nevada.
Based on the 1960's VW kombi, the Cenntro designers used their auto cad to reintroduce the Bauhaus design principles of form
following function into the clutter of trapazoidal curves that is modern
car design.
The 2,3-metre long Kombi EV
is basically a beautiful golf cart with a pay load of 360 kg, which it can carry
80 km far and a top speed of 50 km/h. Torque comes from a 12,5 kW, 400 Nm DC motor.
