Daschund trapped in engine

Daschunds were bred to hunt vermin in tiny spaces, which explains why — if not how — this daschund, Chippy, managed to wedge himself solidly between the piping and block of a Chevrolet Sonic after sniffing a mouse in there.

His owner, Ilana Mienie said it took her husband and two boys 20 minutes to carefully pull and push the little hunter, an SPCA rescue, out of his self-entrapment.

‘Only his feet were dangling from below the engine, and there was very little space to work in, but he was very calm through it all,’ she said.
