Vehicle sales in July 2013 closed at 58 140 units, making it the best sales month
in South Africa in six years.
Bear in mind that Amalgamated Motor Holdings, which sells the popular Renault, Hyundai and Kia models among others, only provide aggregate numbers to the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa, which association released the monthly sales numbers below.
The Hyundai i10 could be SA's unofficial best-seller.
Amalgamated Motor Holdings only reports historic sales of bulk numbers and do not share their monthly successes with the competition. And successes there are aplenty, as a rough count of passing cars on any road in South Africa will show. Based on this count, the unreported Hyundai i20 could be South Africa's best selling small hatch. (The comely lass not included.)
