Robobus delivers mail

The original robobus, the EZ10 by Easymile.

Germany's state-owned rail company Deutsche Bahn is testing the EZ10 by French company EasyMile.
The Toulouse-based group launched their electric people mover at the 2014 Paris Motorshow.
The 12-person autonomous little bus seats six and has no steering input other than by satelite. The logic of a driverless little shuttle has since been widely implemented, and one could argue, continues in the self-sterring Einride truck. (below)

Last mile delivery drivers, as well as bus and taxi drivers can expect a LOT more of this mode of transport in the future.
In Germany, this future is nigh, as 2018, the new buses will operate on test routes in several German towns, including the country's second-largest city Hamburg.DB hopes that in the future they will operate like a private car service, picking up passengers from home on demand and bringing them to the station - picking up others with the same destination along the way.
