| Save on high food costs by planting your own. |
As all drivers know, expensive diesel means expensive everything else, especially food. Which is why now is the time to have the family start a food garden back home.
Putting seed in the soil is only the first step. As your family water the plants and patrol for bugs, have them learn about making compost from anything that rots, harvesting rain, and fermenting any vegetable into long-lasting food.
Got no space for a big vegetable garden back home? Check out how the Garden of Life project recycles old tyres, plastic bags and 2-litre bottles to create micro gardens that feed entire families in Boitekong in the North West, Kanyamazane in Mpumalanga, Mamelodi in Gauteng and Strandfontein in the Western Cape.

Growing food for ourselves is how we will get through the coming stagflation caused by scarce and expensive diesel.
