3M Germany recently sent technical trainer Klaus Willekens to South Africa to spread the word about the company’s vehicle wraps (after gently rubbing away the air bubbles).
Representatives from six companies attended the course on how to apply vinyl to not just advertise a business, but cover a car.
The vinyl wraps are popular because they protect the original paint work and metal, and give customers a chance to change the colour scheme of their cars if they so wish.
Most customers choose to wrap just a bonnet, or roof, or add large decals to the side doors. The cost of a full vehicle wrap ranges from R15 000 to R26 000, depending on the size of the car and the type of finish that is selected.
