Three of South Africa’s youngest spinners will be sharing the
loading docks at the Mkondeni fresh produce market in Pietermaritzburg when
spinning returns to the capital on July 12 after a long absence.
KZN’s
14-year-old Kyle Amod will be seen with the 15-year-old spin stunt master Austin
Kruger from Mafikeng, who has been mesmerising fans throughout South Africa with
his jaw-dropping spin skills.
Kruger will be performing stunts with his
10-year-old younger brother, Panjaro, currently the youngest spinner in South
Africa.
The market will again play host to a driftkhana and spinning event with
lots of stunts. Billed by Motorsport SA as the safest venue in the country, the
high walls of the narrow loading docks allow the fans to be right on top of the
fender-bending action without getting in harm’s way. (PHOTOS: Andre Karrim)
